Sigma Homes acquired the site with planning permission for two large detached houses, but the internal layouts did not meet the practical and lifestyle needs of modern family living.
Our brief was to reimagine the interiors to improve flow and functionality, adjust the elevations to convincingly reflect traditional farmhouse and barn styles, and reposition the houses and garages to make the most of the extensive gardens.
This process involved resubmitting a detailed planning application, following careful discussions with the Planning Officer to demonstrate that the proposed changes would significantly enhance the original consent.
Once planning permission was granted, we prepared full Building Regulations and Working Drawings packages, coordinating closely with our trusted consultants to deliver the required structural design and energy assessments.
The design embraces traditional detailing, including tile hanging, timber cladding, brick accents, and the use of local materials wherever possible. The result is a set of authentic, characterful farm-style homes, carefully crafted to balance aesthetic charm with the practical demands of contemporary family life.
