Our clients came to us with a clear ambition: to create a generous kitchen and family space, alongside a refined master suite that would elevate the character and comfort of their home.
What we found was a layout that lacked coherence — a small, low-ceilinged kitchen at the front, fragmented extensions with uneven floor levels, and an entrance that no longer served the way the home was used. It was a house full of potential, waiting to be reimagined.
Working closely with the family, we explored multiple design directions, studying how the flow, proportion and daily rhythms of the home could be improved.
Together, we reshaped the heart of the property. The front entrance was repositioned into the former dining room — a central, welcoming point that overlooks the driveway and leads naturally into the revised ground-floor plan.
Through thoughtful internal reconfiguration, we created a spacious, elegant hallway that now connects the kitchen, family room, living room and the rest of the home with ease. A new ground-floor cloakroom adds practicality, while the new kitchen–family room stretches the full depth of the house, opening dramatically onto the south-facing garden through feature corner bifold doors. Light now pours in, and the boundary between home and garden dissolves into one seamless space.
Upstairs, we designed a sophisticated master suite complete with a generous wardrobe area and a contemporary ensuite — a calm, private retreat with a refined finish.
Once planning approval was secured, we handled every technical stage: Building Regulations drawings, detailed working drawings, and a full tender package for prospective builders. We guided our clients through each decision, ensuring clarity, confidence and continuity from concept to construction.
At their request, we oversaw the build itself — preserving the integrity, intention and quality of the design. Regular site meetings kept the project aligned, and we issued monthly valuations to maintain progress and transparency throughout.
